Weekly Market Note — Sept 23, 2026

U.S. equities advanced as the S&P 500 rose 2.36% to 7,764.64 for the week, led by a strong rebound in technology. XLK gained 6.51%, driving leadership and market breadth.

The S&P 500 closed at 7,764.64, up 2.36% on the week and +1.18% in the latest session. The index remains inside its 52-week range of 6,316.91 to 7,816.70, reflecting continued resilience in broader equity markets.

Technology outperformed sharply. The XLK ETF ended the week at 196.27, rising 6.51% and jumping 7.07% in the latest session, trading close to its 52-week high of 198.73 as investors favored large-cap tech exposure.

What this means for our strategy: we remain disciplined to our systematic framework and risk controls. Positive tech momentum will be reflected only within predefined allocation and liquidity limits; we will scale exposures mechanically per signals and trim or hedge if volatility or liquidity conditions warrant.
